Payment Plan and Cancellation Policy

Non-Refundable Deposit:

A $300 deposit is required to secure your spot in the retreat. This deposit is non-refundable and counts as a portion of your total fee.

Payment Schedule:

By securing your $300 deposit before August 15th, you lock in the Early Bird Rate.
The first payment (50% of your total fee, depending on your housing choice) is due on September 15th.
The final payment (the remaining balance) is due on November 1st.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancel before October 15th: Receive a full refund minus the $300 deposit.
Cancel before November 30th: Receive a 50% refund of your accommodation fee minus the $300 deposit.
Cancellations after November 30th, 2026: Not eligible for a refund.

Acknowledgment of Risks, Release of Liability, and Assumption of Risk:

I, the undersigned participant, hereby acknowledge that I am voluntarily participating in the "Earth Spirit Rising" Retreat organized by Ashley Hunter (known professionally as Phoenix Hunter) and Far Out of the Box Retreats (referred to herein as the "Organizer"), taking place in Guatemala from January 9, 2027 through January 15, 2027. I understand and accept that the retreat will involve a variety of activities, each carrying inherent risks, including but not limited to yoga, meditation, workshops, cultural excursions, and outdoor activities. The full schedule of activities will be provided prior to the retreat.

Assumption of Risks:

I am aware that the retreat involves physical, emotional, spiritual, and mindful activities, including but not limited to yoga sessions, meditation, breathwork, cacao ceremonies, ecstatic dance, sound healing, sauna sessions, shamanic journeys, walking meditations, hiking, cultural excursions, workshops, and other related activities, each with its own set of risks. These risks may include, but are not limited to, physical injuries, mental and emotional challenges, exposure to natural elements, travel-related risks, dehydration, illness, transportation-related incidents, and other unforeseen circumstances.

Additionally, I acknowledge the risks associated with hiking, uneven terrain, mountain environments, outdoor activities, weather conditions, transportation, and exposure to natural elements.

Release of Liability:

In consideration of being allowed to participate in the "Earth Spirit Rising" Retreat, I hereby release and discharge Ashley Hunter, Far Out of the Box Retreats, the Organizer, facilitators, guest facilitators, instructors, guides, staff, volunteers, venue operators, and any affiliated entities or individuals from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action whatsoever, whether arising out of negligence or any other cause, including but not limited to personal injury, illness, property damage, or wrongful death.

This release of liability encompasses any claims based on the actions, omissions, or negligence of the retreat organizers, facilitators, guest facilitators, instructors, guides, staff, volunteers, venue operators, or other participants during the entire duration of the retreat.

Yoga Instruction Waiver of Rights:

I specifically acknowledge that yoga and related activities may involve physical and mental exertion and carry inherent risks. I hereby explicitly waive any and all rights, claims, or causes of action against Ashley Hunter, Far Out of the Box Retreats, the Organizer, facilitators, guest facilitators, instructors, and any affiliated entities or individuals arising out of or related to my participation in yoga and related activities during the retreat.

Physical Risks: Yoga activities may involve physical movements and postures that carry a risk of injury. I voluntarily participate in these activities with full knowledge and acceptance of the potential physical risks.
Health and Well-being: I am responsible for my own physical condition and well-being during yoga sessions. I will follow the safety precautions and instructions provided by the instructors but ultimately take full responsibility for my choices.
Medical Consultation: While the instructors and facilitators may provide guidance, I acknowledge that they are not licensed medical providers. I must consult my doctor regarding any health concerns or conditions and understand that yoga, breathwork, meditation, sound healing, and other retreat activities are not substitutes for professional medical care.
Pain or Discomfort: If I experience pain or discomfort during any retreat activity, I will modify or discontinue participation as needed. I will not hold Ashley Hunter, Far Out of the Box Retreats, the Organizer, facilitators, guest facilitators, or instructors responsible for any pain or discomfort I experience during or after the retreat.

I understand and accept the physical risks associated with yoga and other retreat activities, and I am responsible for my own well-being during these activities.

Photography and Video Release:

I understand that photographs and videos may be taken during the retreat for promotional, educational, and marketing purposes. I grant permission to the Organizer, facilitators, and affiliated representatives to use my likeness in photographs, videos, social media content, websites, and promotional materials. I release them from any claims or demands related to the use of these images.

Participants who do not wish to appear in promotional photographs or videos must notify the Organizer in writing prior to the retreat.

Medical Considerations:

I confirm that I am in good physical and mental health and capable of participating in the activities offered during the retreat. I agree to inform the Organizer of any relevant physical, psychological, emotional, or medical conditions that may affect my participation. I have disclosed any medical conditions or concerns that might affect my ability to engage safely in retreat activities.

Emergency Medical Treatment Authorization:

In the event of a medical emergency, I authorize the retreat organizers to obtain necessary medical treatment on my behalf. I understand that I will be financially responsible for any medical treatment provided.

Travel and Logistics:

I acknowledge that the retreat involves travel to and from the retreat location and participation in off-site activities and excursions.

The Organizer will coordinate and cover the cost of a group shuttle transfer from La Aurora International Airport (Guatemala City) to the retreat venue on the designated retreat arrival date. Participants are responsible for arranging their travel so they arrive in time to utilize this group transfer.

Participants are solely responsible for all other travel arrangements and associated expenses, including but not limited to airfare, transportation to the airport of departure, transportation outside the scheduled group arrival transfer, personal travel before or after the retreat, and any costs associated with missed or delayed transportation.

I agree to follow all travel guidelines and any specific instructions provided by the Organizer.

Insurance and Indemnification:

I understand that travel insurance, including trip cancellation, travel delay, and medical coverage, is strongly recommended. I acknowledge that the responsibility for obtaining such coverage lies solely with me and that Ashley Hunter, Far Out of the Box Retreats, the Organizer, facilitators, guest facilitators, and affiliated individuals are not responsible for any losses, expenses, disruptions, or issues related to my decision regarding travel insurance.

General Release and Waiver:

I hereby expressly and affirmatively state that I have carefully read and fully understand the terms of this Agreement, and I voluntarily and knowingly agree to its terms and conditions. I acknowledge that I am giving up substantial legal rights by signing this Agreement, and I do so freely and voluntarily without any inducement.
