Once upon an August summer’s eve, I was in the French countryside working together with an incredible international team to make a weeklong Tantra Festival come to life.
The facilitator team of dreams 🤩
2026 was my second year returning to Sadhaka, and while some of the facilitator team was new, some were cozy companions from last year. The way this festival organically develops, with each of the teachers bringing their special spark, is incredible. There’s such integrity in the workshops and experiences that participants are held through. Once again, I was thrilled to be involved.
The festival revolves around community singing, live music, and dance daily. So you can imagine, I joyfully had the opportunity to support and step into leadership in these areas. This year, I facilitated the ecstatic dance and received the remark “I really lost myself in the dance” more than once. I did put a lot of focused energy into creating the playlist for this dance and felt proud and satisfied with how it turned out. As a result of its success, I was also invited to DJ our dance party after our closing ceremony on the final evening. What a blast.
This is only half of the festival attendees. On polarity day we take time to be with the women alone and it’s always a beautiful experience to do so, and then come back together with the men on the other side.
In the realm of singing, I led a few memorable and empowering singalongs, one with the women during our polarity day, where we really embrace our free-spirited, wild, savage natures in community. This was our second annual clothing-free singalong, and what a beautiful, liberating experience to share together! I also had the chance to lead the song celebrating our volunteers on the final day, as well as our campfire singalong evening.
I was able to offer a cacao ceremony to festival participants one morning, be the demo for a beautiful session of Kashmir Massage, and be part of the facilitator team meetings daily, where we strategized on the day and supported each other with our needs.
It’s such a space of loving collaboration. As facilitators, we regularly invite tantra participants into vulnerable spaces of exploring connection. It’s so important for us to be able to ground together and feel supported as well through the process. This year, it seems we really accessed that support well and found such special reverence for each other that we’ve even had a group connection via a virtual Zoom call on the other side of the experience.
It’s not every day that you find others so open in communication, touch, compassion, and playfulness that you deeply trust in co-creation. I was honored to share space with this fantastic team and delighted to see many of the wonderful attendees at the Sadhaka Tantra Festival for the second year in a row.
If only there were more places that invited us into music, joy, sensuality, play, primal energy, duality, and welcoming your whole self to the space. I look forward to the next time I am blessed with returning to Sadhaka and/or finding more and more spaces where that loving, empowering, radiant community energy can flourish.
So much gratitude to the incredible, heart-opened fellow teachers. Miss you all dearly!
